The first notes of red fruit are soon replaced by those of dried figs and spices. The overall harmony is complemented by peaty and smoky notes.
The wine is insolently brilliant and precise, with an almost youthful freshness and notes of dates and pink grapefruit. It has a tactile, powdery, silky presence, with a remarkably tense, sharp finish.
Everything about Plénitude 2 Rosé Vintage 1993 was precocious. Early budding and a warm, stormy spring led to rapid, full flowering in the first half of June. Despite average temperatures, the summer was remarkable for the sunny, dry weather that lasted right up to the beginning of the harvest in September 10th.
Initial hints of dried herbs quickly open up to confit grapefruit and cinnamon, complemented by notes of shortbread biscuits and dried fruit.
Sensations unfold in succession, developing with rhythmic precision and voluptuousness. The initial density becomes a creamy fullness, the finesse lingers before elevating on a sappy note.
A precocious vintage. Early budding and a warm, stormy spring led to rapid and complete blooming, right from the first half of June. Despite very average temperatures, the summer was remarkable for both its generous sunshine and a dry spell that lasted until the beginning of the harvest (September 10).
The brioche and honey tones quickly blend with fresh almond and apricot embellished by hints of smokiness.
After the upfront intensity and roundness, there is a gradual tension which becomes persistent, vibrant, pure, mineral and fruity.
The year was marked by an exceptional summer. Spring was somewhat dull and the late, though rapid, flowering was offset by the heat wave conditions beginning in the late June. Rainfall was slight for two months. There were sporadic storms with temperatures above the seasonal average for the past 30 years. Harvest began on September 18th for the chardonnay and on the 25th for the pinot noir.
Aromas of dried flowers and honey marry rapidly with notes of candied fruit, citrus zest and apricot. The bouquet is rounded off with smoky nuances and a touch of rye.
The depth of this wine reveals itself only gradually, giving an overall impression of contained, almost channelled, strength. The initial sensation of fullness is followed by a delicate, textured feel on the palate, gently leading to a firm, precise finish (spices with a hint of vanilla).
The year 1995 was marked by an exceptional summer. Spring was rather dull, and flowering, although quick, was late. It was saved by summer heat wave, which set in towards the end of June. Over a two-month period the weather was dry with almost no rain, despite the occasional storm, and temperatures for the season were higher than they had been for the last 30 years. The harvest began on 18 September.
Hints of biscuit and warm harvest blend instantaneously with citrus zest and black cherry. The overall impression is of smoked and toasted aromas.
Once the sensation of power and structure is absorbed, the density of the fruit is thrown into relief on the mid-palate, and the pure finish, lively, incisive and mineral, is unveiled.
The year was notable for its exceptional summer: a fairly overcast spring meant that the vines flowered late but quickly. The summer compensated for the spring, with a heat wave arriving at the end of June. For two months, there was hardly any rain, just a few isolated clouds and above-normal temperatures that seat a 30 year record. The harvest began on September 18 for the Chardonnay and on September 25 for the Pinot noir grapes.
The bouquet continues to vibrate with the fruit. As it breathes, the wine opens up. Bright notes of cherry and violet soon mingle with hints of rye, praline and smoke.
In the mouth, the wine is perfectly coherent. Radiant overall, it opens with ease. Elegant, contained and fleshy in its breadth, it has a mellow, exotic finish.

White peach, candied lemons, vanilla, praline and white pepper.
A paradoxical vintage where concentration and balance rival each other. The structure asserts itself by being well-defined. Concentrated, although momentarily restrained, this vintage opens up dramatically, leaving a striking and enduring richness.
1996 was a somewhat mixed year, an unsettled summer with not enough humidity to compensate for a lack of rain early on the season. In the end, the periods of the high heat in the months preceding the harvest led to the exceptional maturity of the harvest, which was marked by a rare balance of the power and acidity.
The aroma of malt rapidly leads into well-ripened fruit, nectarine and wild strawberries, complemented by smoky, peaty accents.
In a paradox that typifies the vintage, concentration and movement vie each other with an affirmation of boldness and authority. The tastes progress with strength – tense, radiant and sharp. The finish is firm, underscored with a slightly vanilla-spicy note.
1996 was full of contrasts. The summer weather was capricious, and the wet periods did not compensate for the early lack of rain. In the end, the periods of the high heat in the months preceding the harvest led to the exceptional maturity of the harvest, which was marked by a rare balance of the power and acidity.
Praline rapidly combines with citron and dried figs. Darker underlying iodine and peaty notes also emerge.
There is an apparent paradox, with concentration and movement vying for ascendancy. The structure of the wine is tense and assertive. Its energy, almost tactile, is contained for a moment before vibrating and exploding. Its opulence then becomes superbly persistent, trenchant and persuasive.

In the end, the periods of the high heat in the months preceding the harvest led to the exceptional maturity of the harvest, which was marked by a rare balance of the power and acidity.
The intense nose is daring, with surprising Mediterranean influences mingling dried roses, citron, saffron, figs and bay leaf. The bouquet expresses darker, silvery notes that are briny and peppery.
The wine vibrates and alternates between light and shadow, freshness and gravity. Each sensation is light, savory, precise and contained. The acidic imprint that distinguishes the vintage is perfectly integrated here. The wine glides without any dryness as the appealing bitterness of spicy citrus lingers on.

The initial notes of fresh almonds and grapefruit gradually lead into cashew nuts and spices complemented by lightly toasted brioche.
The sensation is one of entering a wave: a satiny texture curls and unfurls on the palate, embracing and caressing it. An instant of weightlessness... matter vanishes, the finish vibrates, the taste buds are aroused by a controlled ardor. The persistence is remarkable, with just the slightest undertone of tartness (citrus zest and buds).
The year was marked by two unusual and opposing occurrences: the spectacular burning of the grapes caused by record high temperatures in August followed by exceptional rainfall in the first two weeks of September. The harvest was delayed and the wait was rewarded with the miraculously fine weather that followed. The grapes were healthy and at peak maturity.
Initial floral and perfumed notes blossom rapidly, leading to aromas of orange peel and dried fruits which bring to mind the scent of ripe harvests and woody spices. In the mouth, the wine reveals a fullness of texture coupled with a remarkably balanced structure that is both sophisticated and clear-cut. This complex richness of aromas, radiating warmth, creates a vibrant finish underlined with the merest hint of astringency.

The year saw two unusual and contrasting weather-related events: the severe burning of the grapes caused by record temperatures in August followed by exceptionally high rainfall in the first half of September. Patience regarding the start of the harvest was rewarded by the period of miraculously good weather that followed. The grapes were healthy and especially well-ripened.
The wine has achieved an intense, full and radiant bouquet, with notes of honeysuckle, orange colored fruits, toasted almonds and hints of iodine sensations.
The creamy chewiness characterizing the vintage is channeled in a direction that is edgy yet embracing, with a wave of aromatic persistence. Its finish – smoky, biting and full of energy – offers balance and harmony.
The wine-growing season was marked by extremes, with few grapes, burnt by the sun, in a spectacularly hot August and especially gray, rainy weather during the first two weeks of September. Postponing the harvest allowed us to take advantage of the miraculous spell of good weather that followed. That decision was the making of the vintage. When the harvest began on September 21, the grapes were perfectly ripe and healthy.
The tasting begins with a wine that breathes and comes alive in a light, playful spiral, with touches of angelica, coconut, cinnamon, cocoa and tobacco.
In the mouth, the wine reaches a state of complex fullness: earthy, smoky and pearly, underscored by the vibrant warmth of peppery spice. The sensation of intensity develops and melts into a deep, rounded heart, with a fruity, exotic maturity and a slight touch of aniseed. This sensation, almost unsettling, is even more pronounced in the finish, while the notes of spice, still present, remain discreet, with toasted and iodine flavors.
The year 1999 was contrasted, the average temperature was high, and the long, dry, summer season was confirmed as being "tropical", punctuated with strong winds and several hailstorms. The rainfall during harvesting (14 September), did not affect a healthy and abundant crop, with an exceptionally powerful and well-rounded character.
Its complexity brings a sensory chiaroscuro, juxtaposing fruit and ripeness. Warm, mineral, cocoa and smoked peat notes converse with the more delicate character of a dried flower and candied tropical fruit. The overall sensation is enhanced with touches of peppery wood.
The opening beams instantly and strikes a joyful major chord. The body is lively, with umami resonating and sculpting the contours of the wine. Surprisingly fruity, the middle palate is characteristic of the vintage. The finish is tactile, with saline toasted notes.
The weather was contrasted, often unexpected. The average temperature for the year was high, and the long, dry, summer season was confirmed as being "tropical", punctuated with strong winds and several hailstorms. Rain during picking (on 14 September) had no effect on the healthy and plentiful harvest, which was extraordinary in its strength and body.
Fresh, crystalline, and sharp, the first nose unveils an unusual dimension, an aquatic vegetal world with secret touches of white pepper and gardenia. The wine reveals a light, gentle maturity before exhaling peaty scents.
The attack bursts forth, before maturing into a sensual fullness that winds around itself, like a tendril of foliage. Notes of liquorice and dried ginger linger on the skin of fruit (pear and mango), more textured than ripe. The finish gradually unfurls and then settles, smooth, mellow, all-encompassing. An indefinable je ne sais quoi, never upsetting the integrity of the wine, has worked its charm.
The year 2000 was warm, with cooler-than-average temperatures in the month of July and frequent storms that brought significant amounts of rain and hail. The initial tastings revealed that the Chardonnay grapes harvested last were supple, ample and complex. The Pinot Noir harvest was structured and offered great length.
The first floral notes immediately give way to black cherry and candied citrus peel, complemented by cocoa and a few smoky accents.
The flawless construction achieves a perfect classicism on the palate, dominated by a sensation of balance, consistency and integration. The wine has a surprisingly brilliant and fleshy fruitiness. Its initial solidity becomes more tactile and finally sappy, with a subtly bittersweet note.
Globaly, the year 2000 was warm, despite cooler-than-average temperatures in July and significant rain and hail. The harvest began on September 11th.
The bouquet is ripe, lively and generous. The warm aromas of hay and brioche mingle with those of bergamot orange and russet stone fruit. The overall effect exudes smoky grey accents.
The vibrant opening strikes the first chord, a prelude to a complexity that is more tactile than plump, and only gives of itself gradually. The distinguished viscosity is understated and simply fits around the contours of the wine. The length is exquisitely bitter and abounds with sap, a mingling of liquorice and toasted malt.
The year was characterised by challenging contrasts between cold and rainy periods, and warm and stormy weather. Summer was uncertain and often gloomy, the weather brightened up miraculously during the last few days of August, and the fine days continued right up until the end of the harvest. While the Dom Pérignon Vintage 2000, first presented in 2008, revealed a combination of freshness and ripeness, of effervescence and harmony, it now projects a new expression. This Second Plenitude, P2 2000, draws from new energy, intensity, vitality and depth.
Like Janus, the wine has two sides, expressing both warmth and coolness. The seductiveness of black cherries, dried figs and roses contrasts with deeper notes of nutmeg and cocoa powder, culminating in a finish of toastiness, smoke and ash.
The initial impression is dominated by the consistency and integrated balance of all the different facets. The mouthfeel unfolds with suppleness and a round, even full-bodied sensation. The surprising finish tightens and then slackens, sappy and acidic, revealing notes of spices and dried citrus.
The year was marked by an understandably stressful succession of cold and rainy periods, followed by hot and stormy interludes. The summer was uncertain, with long stretches of dreary weather. Then, at the end of August, the weather turned miraculously beautiful. This favorable period, which lasted through the entire harvest, is what made the vintage. Picking began with the Pinot Noir grapes on September 11, providing amazingly rich fruit.
The first hints of fresh almond and harvest aromas immediately open up into preserved lemon and dried fruits, the whole rounded off by darker smoky and toasted qualities.
The presence of the wine on the palate is immediately captivating. Paradoxically concentrated yet creamy, it is energetic and warm in the mouth, focusing on the fruit, then gradually taking on more profound bass notes. The whole holds its note perfectly, intensively, with just a subtle, elegant hint of underlying bitterness.
The spring was warm and dry, with no significant frost and near-perfect flowering. The summer was marked by long sunny periods, interspersed with regular cloudy and rainy spells. The unexpectedly perfect weather just before the harvest compensated for the heavy rains of late August and early September. The vines were in good health, and the dehydration of the grape berries helped them reach new heights of ripeness. The harvest began between September 12 and 28.
The wine's bouquet is lilting and luminous, with a wide spectrum dominated by an orange-red glow. This complexity becomes deeper and more somber in the finish, with hints of smoke and black cherry.
酒液具有自信的存在感,触感非凡,奶油般的丰腴与抚慰的浓郁度。饱满感延伸并维持着汁液充沛、灵动而晶莹的音符。"
The spring was marked by drought, and even with stormy periods in July and a mostly gray August, the maturation of the grapes was slowed by the lack of sufficient moisture. The eagerly awaited rains did not arrive until the end of August. At the beginning of September, the sun drove away the rain, and there is followed six weeks of golden light. The harvest started on September 12 and lasted until September 28.
Its complexity starts out warm, golden, shimmering, with eastern exoticism: crystallised fruits, frangipane, sweet spices, fresh coriander. On the first nose, saffron is greyer and more saline, with the bouquet slowly becoming complex and then more austere, mysterious, clean and soothing.
The flavour instantly unfurls leaving a bright, expressive, delicate aftertaste that is lively yet sensual, and still very fruit-forward. The nose and palate are strikingly similar, and the velvety mouth-feel becomes deeper and richer. The overall result displays intense, elegant, saline and slight liquorice notes.
Dom Pérignon Vintage 2002 Plénitude 2 expresses confident, enhanced maturity. The assertive character of this wine now gives it genuine and authentic power; a delicate complexity woven through with freshness and minerality, coming together in a light texture. It conjures up pale gold, enhanced with the energy of light: radiant gold.
The bouquet spirals through sweet, bright floral notes and the lively minerality so typical of Dom Pérignon, then notes of candied fruit, plants, the incredible freshness of camphor leaf and finally the dark hints of spices and liquorice root.
The wine is currently still physical. It is compelling, tactile and vibrant rather than aromatic. The rhythm and tempo are more dominant than the melody. At first mild and delicate, then strongly, confidently mineral, persistent, precise, with a refined bitterness, and an iodine, saline tang.
The crop was perfectly ripe and healthy, like those of 1947, 1959 and 1976.
The nose incites a burst of richness and complexity. Ripe fruit at first, then fig and strawberry as the wine breathes and grows, revealing guava, violet and vanilla.
The palate is concentrated and remarkably well-defined. The fullness is structured, rich. The silky, spicy material very gradually disappears into a mineral, iodine, salty finish.
Out of the floral softness of lime tree emerges the grey, toasted, ashy minerality so typical of Dom Pérignon. A taste of dried fruit – apricot – appears, then the candied fruitiness of raspberry and fig. Unexpectedly, the freshness of lemon verbena, white pepper and rosemary rises for an instant, before plunging into the darkness of spices and liquorice root.
This is a physical wine. It calls to you and draws you in, more tactile and vibrant than aromatic. Like a wave, it is built on rhythm and breaks: first it unfolds, then envelops – generous and structured – before withdrawing into a deep, dark verticality that slowly stretches towards a bitter, sapid iodine sensation.
2003 is a year that will remain forever the year that changed the history of Champagne. A scorching summer imposed the earliest harvest since 1822, leading Dom Pérignon to interpret this unique year with an approach inspired by intuition and forward-looking choices. Dom Pérignon Vintage 2003 Plénitude 2 offers a rereading of history and a second life of the Vintage 2003, revealing an insolent freshness. The enveloping flow is magnified, an unabashed embrace.
On the nose, aromas of almond and powdered cocoa develop gradually into white fruit with hints of dried flowers. Classic toasted notes give a rounded finish and denote a fully realized maturity.
On the palate, the wine instantly traces an astoundingly fine line between density and weightlessness. Its precision is extreme, tactile, dark and chiselled. The full taste lingers with the utmost elegance on a sappy, spicy note.
The 2004 vintage leaves its mark on the history of Dom Pérignon for its ease and generosity. In contrast with the year before, vine growth was regular and progressed without incident, while the bunches were of a significant number and size. While the weather remained moderate for some time with the month of August particularly cool – the vintage was defined by the dry heat of the final weeks before the harvest. The harvest began on 24th September with the grapes displaying excellent ripeness and health.
The nose sings out loud and clear, beginning with fresh, intense red fruit: redcurrants and wild strawberries, complemented by warm notes of ripe hay, blood orange and cocoa.
入口丝滑而包容,但最终是精准的印象主导。酒液雕琢般的完整性,浓郁而穿透力强,被这个年份标志性的绿柑橘意外芬芳所延长。
The full-bodied ease of the 2004 vintage will leave its mark on the history of Dom Pérignon. In stark contrast to the previous year, the vines experienced steady, problem-free vegetative growth, with abundant, sizable grape clusters. There were no weather extremes during most of the season – even the month of August was rather cool. It was the dry heat of the final weeks that made the vintage what it is. The harvest of the mature, healthy crop began on September 24.
An exceptionally fresh, slender nose reveals notes of white peach, lemon verbena and linden, with subtle toasted accents.
The palate is sleek and precise, with a silky texture remarkable energy. The finish is long and persistent, with notes of citrus and toasted almonds.
The 2004 vintage was characterized by excellent weather conditions throughout the growing season. The harvest began on September 24, yielding grapes of outstanding quality with perfect balance between sugar and acidity.
酒液极为丰富的芬芳以层层波浪展现:首先是浓郁的水果,更偏黑而非红,然后融入银色的矿物感。果仁糖与芫荽的芬芳补充了整体。
The wine has a strong character and a powerful presence – there is even something physical about it. Overall, it is structured, focused, firm and dense. Its intriguingly spicy, flowery finish remains present in each sip.
The year 2005 was full of contrasts. The weather was mostly warm, with little rain. A heatwave in August was followed by cool, rainy weather in September, tempering our initial enthusiasm. In the end, a drastic selection in the vineyard ensured a limited volume of exceptional quality, with a never-before-seen aromatic maturity. The harvest began on September 14.
Tropical notes of guava and curry leaf melt away into more classical ones of zest and very ripe stone fruit. Cocoa and toasted spices complement the whole.
The wine has a bracing vinosity. Its initial richness expands and affirms itself, becoming more physical, powerful and structured. It has remarkable length in the mouth, with a touch of licorice and a backdrop of juicy, bitter blood orange.

The immediate impression is of the mildness of the pure, airy, bright bouquet. A floral, fruity pastel tone then unfolds and quickly darkens into candied fruit, ripe hay and toasted notes, along with hints of licorice.

The silky mouthfeel melts into a smooth, tight, and grainy structure with just a hint of vegetable flavors. The wine expresses an appealing brininess and saline character.
The weather in 2006 was generally warm and dry, although there were some contrasts. A heat wave hit during July, but August was unseasonably cool and damp. September brought another stretch of warm summer weather that saved the vintage, drying out the few places where botrytis was developing and leading to above average fruit ripeness. Harvesting began on September 11 and continued for nearly three weeks.

2008 was dominated by grey, overcast skies – an exception in a decade characterized by bold, generous sunshine. Just when the harvest was getting underway, the weather conditions were finally perfect: blue skies and prolonged north-northeasterly winds. The grapes were riper than anyone dared hope, and had truly outstanding balance. The vines were in perfect health.
The bouquet bursts forth with raspberries and wild strawberries. Persistent powdery notes of iris and violet immediately meld with the fruit aromas. After breathing, greener nuances arrive, evoking privet, angelica and camphor tree.

The acidic foundation that is the signature of the vintage weaves into the structure of the pinot noir, vibrating the heart of the wine. The affirmed, persistent finish is redolent of peonies and white pepper

2008 was dominated by grey, overcast skies – an exception in a decade characterized by bold, generous sunshine. Spring and summer brought the same lack of sunlight and absence of high temperatures. The power is contained, and the dominant impression is consistency. Sapid sensations converge and persist, leaving the memory of their tactile imprint.
The year began with a lengthy stretch of unfavorable conditions. Winter was harsh, followed by a warm and rainy spring. Flowering proved difficult and the vines faced an attack of mildew. A series of storms in July raised concerns about their health. Then August turned out to be absolutely perfect. The weather remained dry and warm all the way to harvest time, except for an unfortunate episode when a hailstorm hit Hautvillers, Verzenay and Chouilly on September 4. The harvest began on September 12 under truly idyllic conditions. The grapes were in perfect health, with superlative maturity and incredible aromatic expression.

Dom Pérignon Vintage 2017 reveals a dual character that captivates instantly. Between bitterness and acidity, between sweetness and tension, between opulence and edge, and between roundness and straightness. This duality unfolds a dreamlike world of fragrances and flavors capable of reconciling opposites.
2017 has known three sequences, three opposite directions which are the foundations of this vintage's character in tension. In the vineyard, the year began in a mild way. At the beginning of spring, in March, quietness was broken by 12 frost days, which led to a reduction in the potential yield. The rest of spring and the beginning of summer were hot and dry, which consolidated precocious maturation, and was propitious to sugar concentration in the remaining grapes. The rainfalls at the end of August changed the situation. Similarly to 2005 and 2010, the cropping strategy and the ability to sort out the grapes were essential to save the best fruit. The harvested chardonnays were the ripest since 2000. When uninfected, the pinots noirs showed a very beautiful balance between maturity and freshness.
